Sanpete Theater Company proudly presents Next to Normal—a powerful, award-winning musical that explores the realities of mental illness, grief, family relationships, and the challenges so many quietly face every day.
While this isn't your typical feel-good "happily ever after" musical, it is an unforgettable and deeply meaningful experience. Next to Normal reminds us that there is no perfect definition of "normal"—and that it's okay to be next to normal. Through heartbreak, hope, and healing, this story encourages compassion, understanding, and the courage to face life's struggles together.

Summer Youth Theater Camp 2027
Empowering the Next Generation
STC hosts an annual Summer Youth Theater Camp designed to have lasting impact on young people. Participation in the performing arts builds confidence, nurtures creativity, and develops essential life skills that extend far beyond the stage. Through theater, youth learn effective oral communication, creative problem solving, punctuality, teamwork, responsibility, adaptability, and strong interpersonal skills, all while fostering a positive self-image.
The Summer Youth Theater Camp provides youth ages 10–18 from across Sanpete County with a high-quality, inclusive theater experience. Through a two-week intensive program culminating in a full production, participants will engage in meaningful artistic training while experiencing the joy, discipline, and collaboration of live theater.
To be able to provide this experience for more youth, for Summer 2027 we plan to offer 2 camps! One in June at Manti High School and one in July at North Sanpete High School. Watch for details to come!
